Baker School marching band performs at Disney World in Orlando

May 15 marked the Baker School Marching Band's first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort resort in Orlando with the Disney Performing Arts Program.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Members of Baker School's Marching Band became stars of their own Disney show on May 15, when they entertained resort guests at the Magic Kingdom Park.

The group traveled from Baker to the Walt Disney World Resort to take part in the Disney Performing Arts Program. The marching band, under Tony Chiarito's direction, entertained hundreds of Magic Kingdom Park guests as they marched through Frontierland and around Cinderella Castle onto Main Street, U.S.A. before the “Festival of Fantasy Parade.”

This was the group’s first visit to the resort with the Disney Performing Arts Program.

Vocal, instrumental and dance ensembles from all around the world apply to perform each year as a part of Disney Performing Arts at both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort.

Once selected, they are given the opportunity to perform at the resort for an international audience of theme park guests.
