CRESTVIEW — Sims Orthodontics presented awards to winners of its 5th Annual Teacher Wishlist contest.
The Pensacola company presented $300 gift cards to six teachers for school supplies. Funding is budgeted for the wishlist and its other community support efforts.
James Sims of Sims Orthodontics said, "Our mission … is 'transforming smiles and so much more.' I really enjoy working with kids and I wanted to have an impact outside the office. I know a lot of time teachers spend their own money to improve their classroom and I wanted to create a way to help them each year. It has been an amazing experience so far and I look forward to doing it for many years in the future."
Three local winners included Victoria Barbata of Northwood Elementary School, Tiffany Plunkett of Baker School, and Tim Sexton of Davidson Middle School.
