CRESTVIEW — Thanksgiving came early for airmen in Eglin Air Force Base’s 96th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
Crestview Citizens Police Academy Alumni dedicated Nov. 18 to preparing and serving a feast.
The Rev. Harry Tomlin, a CCPAA member and a Crestview Police Department chaplain, offered the blessing before more than 250 airmen enjoyed what alumni association President Marie Saccaro called a “feast of plenty.”
Saccaro said with 96th Squadron member Master Sgt. Andra Chase also being the alumni association’s secretary, choosing to cook and serve the meal to her service unit was an easy and unanimous decision.
“It was with pleasure that we volunteered our service for Master Sgt. Chase and her squadron,” Saccaro said.
In addition to Chase, Saccaro and Tomlin, police academy alumni volunteers included Tomlin’s wife, Diane; Delia Underwood; Claudia Cirey; and Brenda Cadenhead.
