CRESTVIEW — The cause of an Oct. 23 Main Street fire is undetermined, according to the Crestview Fire Department.
A CFD unit responded to a call about a trash can fire at 10:56 p.m. Sunday in front of Crestview Plumbing and Hardware, 297 N. Main St. When firefighters arrived on scene, the Crestview Police Department had already extinguished the trash can fire and the CFD unit put out the rest of the hot spots with a portable extinguisher.
The trash can was destroyed and two storefront panes of glass were broken due to the heat, according to a CFD media release.
