CRESTVIEW — A Crestview Crush 9U preseason baseball camp with Scott Hemond is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 17 at Durrell Lee Park, 1898 E. 1st Ave., Crestview. Hemond was a first round draft pick by the Oakland A's.
It includes a 10-11 a.m. coach's camp with information on running an effective practice; followed by defensive skills training, hitting and throwing mechanics and speed/agility training for children.
Boys and girls ages 7-14 may participate. Cost is $35 per child or $20 per coach. To register, email crestviewcrush@gmail.com.
After camp, a meeting about Crush tryouts, which are Jan. 31, will follow.
