SHALIMAR – The Panhandle Animal Welfare Society’s annual member meeting is scheduled.
The meeting is for those who have been a member of the Fort Walton Beach animal shelter for at least the past 30 days.
Individuals and businesses interested in membership may attend, but can’t vote at the meeting, set for 4-6 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Twisted Grape Café & Wine Bar, 1193 Eglin Parkway.
Membership levels of support range from a $25 “Playtime Member,” which provides dogs and cats toys, up to a $5,000 “Patron Team Member,” which includes naming rights for a kennel run in the upcoming new shelter.
