DESTIN — Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation announces a call for artists for its 21st Annual Festival of the Arts.
The festival is Oct. 29-30 throughout the 6.76-acre Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin.
Art on the lawn and live music at the Dugas Pavilion in the village will be featured, along with 110 artist booths and amenities.
Artist applications and poster competition entries are now being accepted for the MKAF’s 21st annual Festival of the Arts.
Artists will compete for $10,000 in cash awards. Artist entry fees include a $30 nonrefundable jury fee and $200 booth fee.
The artist who creates the winning design for the official poster competition gets $500, and his or her work will be the signature artwork on festival t-shirts, posters, marketing collateral, specialty merchandise and the cover of the Festival of the Arts guide, with a distribution of more than 30,000. This is just one component of a comprehensive marketing campaign MKAF will launch surrounding the event.
The entry and poster contest application deadline is June 20.
