SHALIMAR — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged a former Holt resident with multiple counts of sexual battery on a victim under the age of 12.
Jon Eric Dowdy, 31, was questioned by investigators, who stated in an OSCO media release that he allegedly raped a child multiple times between July 2010 and June 2014, when she was between four and eight years old.
The release states, "The victim says the abuse happened at a home in Holt at least 15 times and that she suffers from flashbacks.
"She also told Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators it continued at a house in Milton."
In the release, deputies stated Dowdy 'answered all the questions calmly and never got angry about any of the allegations he was being accused of.”
