The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is ramping up efforts to crack down on drunk and impaired drivers this holiday season.
Christmas to New Year's Day posts one of the highest rates of impaired driving fatalities, according to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
Deputies will work to reduce DUI-related crashes through Jan. 3.
They ask that people drive carefully, wear seatbelts, and use a designated driver for outings where alcohol will be involved.
