CRESTVIEW — A 3:45 p.m. crash Dec. 7 resulted in the death of one Crestview resident, and minor injury to another on State Road 85 and Thomas Road in Laurel Hill.
James D. Lack, 49, was driving south on State Road 85 when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck left the roadway, entered the west grass shoulder, struck an embankment and overturned.
The vehicle came to rest upside down on the State Road 85 west shoulder.
James Lack died at the scene. His passenger, Crestview resident Kevin P. Lack, 42, had minor injuries from the crash.
This is the second Dec. 7 wreck that claimed the lives of Crestview residents.
