CRESTVIEW — A Crestview resident has died and another man has serious injuries after a 1:30 a.m. traffic accident Dec. 7 on County Road 393.
Robert Drew Sperry Jr., 28, of Crestview, died at the scene after the 2002 Ford F-150 he was driving rolled over several times. His passenger was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital with serious head injuries. (The passenger's relatives have not been notified, as of this writing.)
According to the Florida Highway Patrol media release, Sperry was driving southbound when the truck entered the east shoulder of the roadway, traveled several feet, then re-entered the roadway and rolled onto its roof.
The truck then skidded to the west shoulder, where it rolled over several more times before coming to rest facing southwest.
