CRESTVIEW — Okaloosa Head Start's Crestview and Laurel Hill area students, their teachers and parents have some messages for breast cancer survivors:

"There is hope."

"Support the fighters, admire the survivors and honor the taken."

And if you are a fighter, know you should "never, ever (be) giving up."

Such inspirational words graced posters displayed during the group's 10 a.m. Breast Cancer Awareness parade, Oct. 23 at the West Edney Street school.

The group — many of whom wore tutus and anything pink, the official color of breast cancer awareness — circled the block and returned to the center, where they released balloons to honor cancer survivors.
