FORT WALTON BEACH — A Crestview woman charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia is due in court Nov. 15.

Fort Walton Beach Police Department officers and Okaloosa County sheriff's deputies recently responded to the Main Street Car Wash to investigate a suspicious white SUV in one of the bays, according to a police report.

When an officer approached the SUV, Tiffany Marie Adkison, 26, rolled down the window and he said he smelled marijuana, according to the report.

When the officer searched the SUV, he found a denim purse containing 15 white tablets, a spark plug smoking pipe with residue in the bowl, a scale with residue, two drinking straws with white residue, and several marijuana "roaches," or remnants.

The white pills were Alprazolam, a controlled substance, according to authorities.
