Northwest Florida State College plans candlelight vigil for Deputy Myers

NICEVILLE — Northwest Florida State College's Public Safety Department is hosting a community candlelight vigil honoring Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Bill Myers Sunday.

The public is invited to attend the event, which is 7 p.m. Sept. 27 at Northwest Florida State College, 100 College Blvd., in front of building 510.

The ceremony will also serve as an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the service of all law enforcement officers and first responders. Representatives from public safety agencies throughout the local area are expected to attend.
