CRESTVIEW – A man being booked into the Okaloosa County Jail on a battery charge was caught with pills in his wallet and now faces two additional charges.
On Oct. 27, Louis Anthony Peacock, 45, of Destin, was being booked on a domestic violence charge when his wallet was searched for contraband. A trustee found a yellow piece of paper inside. The paper contained 10 yellow pills.
The pills were identified as Clonazepam, a Schedule 4 drug that requires a prescription.
Peacock was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and introducing contraband into a detention facility.
His court date is Dec. 4.
