Crestview jewelry store offers savings during one-day event

CRESTVIEW — Want a timeless gift for your special someone? Lewis & Co. Jewelers has an idea.

"You can never go wrong with diamonds," said storeowner Keith Lewis, who has sold fine jewelry and accessories here for nearly 20 years.

You can test the “diamonds are a girl’s best friend” theory during Lewis and his long-time sales associates’ annual open house, 1-5 p.m. Sunday at 866 N. Ferdon Blvd.

"We're doing this to show our appreciation to our customers," Lewis said. "Plus, we are going to have huge savings ranging from 40 to 60 percent off."

The first 100 customers inside will get a gift bag that includes gift certificates and other goodies.

One of the gift bags will contain something special: a set of 1-karat diamond earrings.

Additionally, the store will give door prizes, including watches and other items, throughout the day.

"We are also going to have Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus here for the kids to take pictures with," Lewis said.

He and his staff have long been fond of the Christmas holidays.

"It's just a fun time of year around here," Lewis said.

The store’s interior and exterior are decorated with lighted Christmas trees, wreaths and garlands. The lights come to 10,350 exactly, he said.

What to buy

Men and women seek Lewis and Co. out for gifts for a significant other, store staffers said.

"The guys usually buy diamond jewelry for the ladies," Lewis said. “Any kind of diamond jewelry is the hottest seller around this time of year.

"Ladies never seem to have too much diamond jewelry."

That’s good for Lewis, who said his store has the largest jewelry selection in the Southeast and attracts customers from far away places like Gulf Shores, Mobile and Tallahassee, Ala.

The store’s two best sellers are diamond halo necklaces and Chamilia jewelry like customizable charms. Some of the Chamilia jewelry will be on sale at Sunday’s event, Lewis said.

Women usually buy watches, bracelets and necklaces for the men in their life, store employees said.

The store also offers rings and pearl necklaces, among its wide spectrum.

Lewis looks forward to showing customers old and new his current selection on Sunday.

"There is always a huge turnout … it is going to be a lot of fun," he said of the event.
