Boeing donates $35k to Okaloosa County School District

During Baker School’s Family S.T.E.M. Night May 8, kids produce “snow” by mixing powdered “instant snow” in water, which makes it puff up to 10 times its volume. With the new grant from Boeing, the Okaloosa County School District can continue promoting scientific, hands-on education for its students.

FORT WALTON BEACH — Boeing recently made a  $35,000 donation to the Okaloosa County School District to support several STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) initiatives throughout the county.

Superintendent Alexis Tibbetts accepted the check from Boeing representatives Paul Jernigan and Susan Ault-Davis.

The donation will promote hands-on/inquiry-based professional development and activities that will help students strengthen their STEM skills and address the increasing demand for jobs requiring strong foundations in these areas.
