CRESTVIEW — A 29-year-old man wanted for a rape in September was arrested Tuesday night in a mobile home used as a meth lab, the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force has announced.
According to the task force press release, when the marshals arrived at the home on the 300 block of Tate Lane they saw Steven John Casker Jr. mixing ingredients to make methamphetamine. Casker was subdued, but a gun lay on the table within his reach. The marshals removed Casker, an unidentified man and two women from the home.
Officers found more than 400 grams of methamphetamine and a loaded Sig Sauer .380-caliber handgun when searching the home.
Casker was charged with domestic violence battery, sexual battery – domestic violence on a victim older than, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number and trafficking in methamphetamine. Casker was booked into the county jail with no bond.
The other man and the women were not charged.
