The Local Emergency Planning Committee, Okaloosa and Santa Rosa County Emergency Management members and Okaloosa, Escambia and Bay emergency responders next week will receive hazardous materials training.
The exercise — presented by Florida District 1 Emergency Planning Committee and its planning team — begins at 9 a.m. April 23 at Northwest Florida State College’s Emergency Operations Center in Niceville.
Officials will evaluate current response plans and capabilities during a potential hazardous materials incident. Additionally, regional response teams will receive training.
