CRESTVIEW — A 37-year-old man is in custody at the Okaloosa County Jail after being arrested on charges of sexual battery on a child over 12.
The Crestview Police Department began an investigation on Jason Landon Pate of Northwiew Drive in May after a complainant made allegations of ongoing sexual abuse, according to police.
A search warrant was executed on Pate's home with assistance from the Walton County Sheriff's Office and Internet Crimes Against Children investigators. Enough evidence was found to warrant an arrest of Pate.
Pate was arrested Wednesday.
