The Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission has named Okaloosa County Department of Corrections’ Tammy Matthews the Accreditation Manager of the Year. “Her positive attitude and overall willingness to help and promote the accreditation process is the reason for her selection,” the commission’s announcement stated.
The commission’s voluntary program is patterned from a combination of Florida Model Jail Standards, American Correctional Association standards and the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation’s practices.
The Okaloosa County Department of Corrections is accredited by FCAC and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
