Yvonne Shanklin of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Crestview recently won the firm's Edward Jones Sr. Founders Award for her exceptional achievement in building client relationships.
"It's truly an honor to be recognized for building relationships with those clients we serve," said Shanklin. "And it is also quite inspirational to receive an award named after a firm legend such as Edward Jones Sr., who was so innovative and recognized the need for quality financial advice for long-term individual investors."
Shanklin was one of 2,400 of the firm's 13,000 financial advisors to receive the Edward Jones Sr. Founders Award.
Jones founded the firm in 1922 under the principle that financial advisors should be treated as business partners rather than employees.
His insistence on always treating others with respect is one of his enduring contributions to the Edward Jones culture.
"The success of Yvonne hinges on her ability to know and understand the financial needs and goals of her clients, long-term individual investors," said Jim Weddle, the firm's managing partner. "Our clients most appreciate recommendations tailored to their situations and the high level of personal service Yvonne provides."
In addition, Shanklin received the firm's Eagle Award for her "clear vision of both client and business goals" over the past year. Shanklin was one of only 1,956 of the firm's more than 13,000 financial advisors to receive the award.
"When you work for a firm that is known for its outstanding service," Shanklin said, "it's quite an honor to be singled out for your service record."
