CrestviewHigh School's girls basketball team has plenty to cheer about after winning the championship of the Pace Christmas tournament.
The Bulldogs opened the tournament with a resounding 55-29 win over District 1-7A rival Navarre.
KK McTear led Crestview's attack with 14 points, Nyguaja Collins pitched in 13 points and Jensis Coleman had 14 assists.
McTear remained hot in the Dec. 27 tournament semifinal game, scoring 23 points as Crestview rolled to a 70-28 win over Central.
Arianna Simms and Jasmine Middleton joined McTear in double figures. Simmis scored 16 and Middleton had 12.
Coleman and Collins each recorded a double-double in the tournament championship game, leading the Bulldogs to a 54-47 win over Poplar Springs.
Coleman scored 10 points to go along with 17 assists. Collins had 10 points and 14 rebounds. Simms just missed a double-double as she scored nine points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
McTear, with 16 points, was the leading scorer for the Bulldogs (10-6).
