Northwest Florida State College recognizes teacher education graduates

NICEVILLE — Northwest Florida State College's Teacher Education Department recently recognized 23 students who completed the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree and one student who completed the Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Mathematics degree.

Elementary Education graduates successfully completed the professional certification exam for Elementary Education K-6, and they are Reading and English As A Second Language-endorsed. The Mathematics program graduate successfully completed the professional certification exam for Middle Grade Mathematics Grades 5th-9th.

The Bachelor of Science in Education, Middle Grades Mathematics graduate is Brenda Farris of Freeport.

The pinning ceremony pays homage to graduates, and to the guidance, support and encouragement provided to graduates by faculty and staff, supervising teachers, family and friends throughout the teacher education program.

Graduates Shelby Truett, Cody Carroll, Missy Milligan, Loren Fowler, Kristyn Geiselman, Michelle Hebert and Elease McDonald delivered commencement speeches to their peers. A small reception in the Tyler Recital hallway followed.
