OneBlood is offering a special edition T-shirt, a wellness check and cholesterol screening for military blood donorsĀ this month.
The offer applies for donations at OneBlood's Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola and Panama City sites and during bloodmobile drives.
OneBlood is one of seven military hubs throughout the country, ready to provide needed blood to the military when called, a spokesperson said, adding that the offer aligns with Military Appreciation Month.
"They (service members) save lives throughout the world while on military assignments and when home in the Florida Panhandle they save lives as blood donors.
"We are proud to hold blood drives at our bases in Pensacola, Fort Walton and Panama City and provide blood to patients in both Pensacola Naval Hospital and Eglin Air Force Base Hospital."
Generally healthy people age 16 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate blood.
