Crestview man to be sentenced Nov. 3 after plea in murder case

Jerome Parrish

CRESTVIEW — William Eddins, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit, announced Oct. 29 that Circuit Judge Michael Flowers accepted a plea by Jerome Parrish to one count of first degree premeditated murder.

The charge arose from the stabbing death of Parrish’s wife, Alyssa on April 22, 2012 in Crestview.

In return for the plea the State Attorney’s Office agreed to withdraw the death penalty as a possible punishment. Parrish will be sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole. His sentencing is Nov. 3 before Judge Flowers.

The investigation was conducted by the Crestview Police Department and the case was handled by Assistant State Attorney Bobby Elmore. For more information contact Elmore at 850-689-5620.
