Crestview couple arrested in connection with Saturday murder

Two Crestview residents have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old man, according to the Crestview Police Department.

Crestview police arrested Jeffrey Allen Brandenburg and his wife, Amy Rene Brandenburg, both 26, with help from the Brewton Police Department. Both suspects were located at the Colonial Manor Motel in Brewton.

Jeffrey has been charged with an open count of murder, and Amy has been charged with accessory to murder.

Samuel Raheem Foy-Cornish, of Crestview, was found lying in the roadway of South Ferdon Boulevard, just north of Duggan Avenue, near Eglin Federal Credit Union, on Saturday.

He was transported to North Okaloosa Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Cornish was the victim of a single stab wound to the chest.

Jeffrey and Amy Brandenburg were transported and released into the custody of the Escambia County, Alabama's jail. Both will be held awaiting extradition to Okaloosa County, Florida.
