CRESTVIEW — The Paul Hsu Foundation and Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce want TEAMS players: that is, nominees for Hsu’s Teaching Excellence Award in Mathematics and Science.
A chamber PHF TEAMS committee will administer the $5,000 prize program, which recognizes North Okaloosa County high school teachers' innovative efforts.
“The PHF seeks to support and encourage the men and women engaged in the education of our young people specifically in the areas of science and mathematics at the high school level,” a foundation news release stated.
Hsu created the foundation “to enhance a greater public understanding of the role of science and technology in the 21st century," the release stated.
In addition to students and educators, residents can nominate a deserving high school science or math teacher from Crestview High School, Baker School or Laurel Hill School.
Nomination forms are available on the Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce website, www.crestviewchamber.com/pages/phfteams1/.
