Kidnapping suspects may be driving a Dodge minivan, police say

CRESTVIEW — Two suspects allegedly involved in a kidnapping are driving a 2009 Dodge Caravan, Crestview Police Lt. Andrew Schneider stated in a news release.

The vehicle may be displaying a Florida tag of J47 FXH that may have expired in 2011, he said, adding police have not confirmed the pair's direction of travel.

Emmanuel Menz, 3, allegedly was kidnapped approximately 11:15 a.m. today from the Burger King at 3210 S. Ferdon Blvd., during a supervised visit with the Department of Children and Families.

Emmanuel's father and mother, Karl R. Menz and Virginia M. Lynch, who left with Emmanuel, don't have custodial rights to the child, who is currently in foster care, police said.

Emmanuel is autistic and may not be able to communicate clearly.

Police asked residents to dial 911 immediately or contact the Crestview Police Department, 682-2055 or 682-3544, with any information on the suspects.
