CRESTVIEW — It seems that even Mother Nature isn’t happy with the Crestview High School football team these days.
The Bulldogs trailed Navarre 21-0 with 10:38 left in the third quarter Friday night when a lightning strike in the vicinity of Jack Foster Stadium forced the teams to their respective locker rooms. The game was later called with the Raiders picking up the win.

Navarre (4-0) racked up more than 350 yards in total offense in the abbreviated game.
Raider quarterback Matthew Webb led the Navarre attack with 169 yards passing and another 50 on the ground.
Navarre rushed for 186 yards on 18 carries. The big run of the night was a 50 scoring scamper by Derrick Smith with 5:12 left in the second quarter.
The first Raider score, 5-yard pass from Webb to Michael Carter, was set up by a Bulldog turnover at the Crestview 36.
Crestview quarterback Rusty Moorer was trying to finish off a 13-yard run when he was met by a host of Raider defenders. Luke Morton came up with the loose ball for Navarre.
Five plays later, with 27 seconds left in the first quarter, the Raiders were in the end zone.
Navarre’s final score came on a 21-yard pass from Webb to Cameron Mayweather. Webb did his Harry Houdini impersonation shaking off a pair of tackles in the backfield to avoid the sack before finding Mayweather for the score.
The Bulldogs (0-4) struggled moving the ball most of the night. Crestview was just 3-of-10 passing for 32 yards with one interception. Armstrong was 1-of-3 for 18 yards. Moorer, who threw the interception, was 2-of-7 for 14 yards.
Crestview did do a little better on the ground picking up 106 yards on 18 carries.
D.J. Stewart led the Bulldog rushing attack with 63 yards on six carries. Armstrong carried the ball five times for 20 yards.
