SHALIMAR — Registration is available for the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy.
Classes are scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays, from Jan. 6 through March 31, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church's Fellowship Hall, 1 Meigs Drive, Shalimar.
The academy covers the sexual predator and gang unit, criminal and crime scene investigation, and narcotics enforcement; traffic, the teen driver challenge and driving under the influence; domestic violence and sex crimes; a ride-along with deputies; a tour of the courthouse and communications center; and a visit to the OCSO firing range.
