Okaloosa Women's Wall of Honor nominations due April 15

The Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women seeks nominations for the 2014 Women's Wall of Honor.

Nominations are due April 15, and the ceremony to honor this year's candidates is 10 a.m. May 6 in the University of West Florida Emerald Coast auditorium in Fort Walton Beach.

The organization honors Okaloosa County women who have contributed to local residents' well-being. Their names are placed on a plaque in the UWF library with a nearby book containing their biographical information.

To nominate someone, fill in a form that includes a 100-word or less paragraph about the woman and add her photo and a $100 donation to the OCCSW.

Send your submission to Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women, P.O. Box 681, Niceville, FL 32588. Payments also can be made through PayPal.
