CRESTVIEW — The Crestview Police Department extended a big "thank you" to Costa Enterprises, and supervisor Dan Schuster and his crew at the South Ferdon Boulevard McDonald's. The fast-food restaurant hosted the Aug. 8 Coffee With a Cop.
"We had some good conversation with our neighbors and got some good feedback," CPD Deputy Chief Jamie Grant said. "From what citizens told us, we're on the right track."
One resident asked to meet a special officer, a request K9 Officer Nate Marlar gladly fulfilled. He took the lady out to the parking lot to meet his partner, K9 Officer Kody, keeping the German shepherd dog on a tight leash during the visit.
"Kody takes his job pretty seriously," Marlar explained.
Residents don't need to wait for the next Coffee With a Cop to speak to CPD members. They may stop by the agency’s Whitehurst Municipal Building headquarters at 201 Stillwell Blvd. for a friendly chat.
"But if you want to visit with us at the next Coffee With a Cop, it will be Oct. 10," Grant said. The time and place will be announced closer to that date.
