Emergency Medical Services Week celebrates EMS personnel and allows the public to meet the crews and learn more about their jobs.
Friday's events include:
•May 23: EMS picnic and celebration for EMS employees and their families, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Liza Jackson Park in Fort Walton Beach. Food provided by Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Prizes will be raffled with proceeds benefiting St. Jude’s Cares for Kids Foundation.
•May 23: EMS and One Blood Donation Center's community blood drive, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Liza Jackson Park.
