Beef's is back: Crestview Beef 'O' Brady's to reopen next week

The refurbished Beef 'O' Brady's bar features corrugated metal accents and changing light strips under the countertop.

CRESTVIEW — Expect a new owner, staff and a refurbished interior for next week's reopening of the Beef 'O' Brady's restaurant beside Big Lots on South Ferdon Boulevard.

Owners plan a soft opening the week of April 28 with a grand opening a couple of weeks later.

Previous owners cited the post-recession economy when they closed the restaurant that employed 20 people on March 30, 2013.

However, new co-owner Cliff Longshore contends that sales were "really good" last year, indicating strong community support.

The chain's corporate office brought in Longshore and Robert Wolfenden's Tampa-based Legacy Franchise Development to overhaul the local restaurant.

"We're kind of the clean-up team for Beef 'O' Brady's," Longshore said.

Legacy has supervised the restaurant's refurbishment, removing partitions and opening up the room. The Crestview Beef 'O' Brady's is the seventh that Legacy has overhauled.

The central bar is accented with corrugated metal panels reflecting changing colored strip lighting mounted under the countertop. The restaurant will have a full liquor license.

Legacy is also implementing new operations systems coupled with a new management team. The restaurant will also offer music and sportscasts.

"The feedback from the community has been ecstatic," Longshore said. "We have had a lot of interest."
