Car hits Crestview High School student

CRESTVIEW — The Crestview Police Department is investigating an accident involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred just before 2 p.m. today on Commerce Drive.

A Crestview High School student was struck by a 2003 Cadillac four-door driving westbound on Commerce Drive, as the student was walking eastbound in the grassy median near the entrance road of the Crestview Library.

The juvenile received non-life threatening injuries, but was flown by helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola as a precaution.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and charges may be pending the conclusion of the investigation.
