2 men charged after domestic violence, shots fired in Crestview

CRESTVIEW — Two men face charges following a Feb. 28 police visit to the 600 block of North Lloyd Street.

Marquette Antonio McQueen, 37, was arrested on aggravated assault with a firearm with domestic violence, possession of weapon by a convicted felon and child abuse.

Jesse Lee Coleman, 35, was arrested on resisting/obstructing a law enforcement officer.

The Crestview Police Department responded to North Lloyd Street after receiving a report of domestic violence and possible shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers determined from the victim that Marquette McQueen had fired some rounds inside the residence, according to police, who said there were two small children still inside the residence.

When McQueen refused to exit the residence, the Crestview Police Department activated its SWAT team and Hostage Negotiations Team.

Upon both teams' arrival, contact was made with McQueen via a loud speaker and, evidently, McQueen exited the residence, police said.

Coleman refused to follow several verbal orders to move behind the perimeter that had been established and, at one point, walked in front of a SWAT vehicle while it was attempting to move in front of the residence, police said.

Both children were taken into protective custody and were later reunited with family members after the Department of Children and Families were involved.
