North Okaloosa Medical Center names new CEO

CRESTVIEW — Ronnie Daves has been named North Okaloosa Medical Center's CEO.

Daves comes from Carolinas Hospital System-Marion, a 124-bed hospital in Mullins, S.C., where he has served as CEO since 2013.

"Working closely with the medical staff and employees, the hospital has grown in quality and service to patients while increasing operating efficiency," a spokesperson said. "His focus on creating a great environment of care has helped increase physician and employee satisfaction as well."

Under Daves’ leadership, Marion successfully started a hospitalist program supported by all community physicians, leading to more than a 10 percent growth in admissions. His recruitment efforts added six physicians to the medical staff as well as contract physicians for the ER and Hospitalist department.

“Ronnie’s experience is a great fit for the role of CEO at North Okaloosa Medical Center,” said Michael Foley, NOMC's chief medical officer.

“His strong track record of advancing the care and experience for patients and staff makes Ronnie a great addition to our hospital and community,” said Dr. Pam Meadows, NOMC's board of trustees chairman.

Daves — who began his career in Healthcare Administration in 2007 — advanced over the following years to the position of CEO, serving hospitals in South Carolina.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology at Charleston Southern University, and his Master of Health Administration at the Medical University of South Carolina.

He will relocate to Crestview with his wife, Brandi, and sons, Logan, 6, and Landan, 4.
