Court date for Crestview man accused of vehicle burglary

CRESTVIEW — A Crestview man charged with burglary of a conveyance and petit theft is due in court March 3.

Cornelius Antonio McQueen, 24, is accused of taking a woman’s purse from her vehicle.

He entered the car through the front passenger seat around 3 a.m. Jan. 27, according to the arrest report.

A witness chased McQueen a short distance and was able to recover the stolen purse, the report said. Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies said they found McQueen at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.

The witness positively identified McQueen, according to the report.
