Crestview traffic stop results in drug bust, Baker man's arrest

CRESTVIEW — A Baker man faces several drug-related charges following an April 30 traffic stop.

John Elmore is charged with:

•Possession of controlled substance with intent to sell (cocaine)

•Possession of controlled substance(s): Oxycodone, Alprazolam, 2mg (Xanax)

•Possession of marijuana less than 20 grams

•Possession of drug paraphernalia (scale with cocaine residue)

•Possession of methamphetamine

The Crestview Police Department's Special Enforcement Team, working with the Uniformed Patrol and K9 units, searched the vehicle, which was stopped on a traffic violation, after finding presence of illegal substance, according to police.

Police recovered 1 gram of marijuana, 12.8 grams of cocaine, and 2.64 grams of methamphetamine, along with $1,776 in U.S. currency, according to a news release.

The eight 30 Mg Oxycodone, 18 Alprazolam 2mg (Xanax), 1 Oxycodone 1mg were all within the suspect's front left pocket, the CPD stated.
