CRESTVIEW — Marquis McClain looks the part of a college football wide receiver.
At 6 feet, 2 inches and 205 pounds, the rising senior on Crestview High School's football team has the big body college coaches want for receiver.
“He’s certainly built like a Division I receiver,” Crestview Coach Tim Hatten said. “He runs real well. He’s real athletic.
“He’s a multi-sport athlete — track, basketball, football. Everything you look for in a big-time player. He certainly has the potential of a real, real good player.”
McClain is becoming one of the Class of 2016's more highly touted players.
“I’m always cautious when people talk to me about how many offers a kid has,” Hatten said. “The only offers I really talk about are the offers I know he has. I know Marquis has eight offers, but I haven’t talked to him in a couple of days so he could have more.”
Now we catch up with Marquis McClain.
