North Okaloosa residents among law enforcement graduates

NICEVILLE — Northwest Florida State College students who completed the Criminal Justice Training Center's vocational certificate program for Law Enforcement Basic Training include five North Okaloosa County residents.

Patrick Legions, Baker; and Kevin Hull, Trey Simpson, Usman Sayed and Christopher Barton, Crestview, are among the summer class' 20 graduates. NWF State College President Ty Handy and Director William Looper presented the certificates June 25.

Criminal Justice Training Center graduates are now eligible to take the State Officer Certification Exam. Once they pass the Florida exam, graduates can become employed as sworn police officers in Florida.
