Crestview High School’s girls basketball team opened the new year in impressive fashion Friday, taking a District 1-6A win over Tate 49-16.
Tiara Payne and Dionjenea Hendrix shared team honors in high scoring, with 12 points each. Both had double-doubles as Hendrix pulled down 11 rebounds and Payne had 10 rebounds.
Christa Johnson scored nine points and had eight rebounds. Jensis Coleman led the Bulldogs with 10 assists.
