NWF State College hosts annual computer tech event

NICEVILLE — Northwest Florida State College will host Computer Tech 2015 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 in the Student Services Center on the Niceville campus.

The event, offered through the Personal Enrichment program of the college’s Professional and Continuing Education Department, is free to attend.

Computer Tech 2015, now in its eighth year, brings together computer enthusiasts, from novice to expert, to learn about the latest technology and how to use numerous computer software programs and hardware devices.

The event features more than 40 workshops on a variety of computer and technology topics. In addition, those attending can receive a free onsite performance checkup for their laptop, tablet or handheld device.

Dr. Deidre Price, an English professor at Northwest Florida State College, will deliver the 8 a.m. keynote address titled, “Inside Out: How Social Media Changes Us.”
