CRESTVIEW — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a Crestview woman said she woke up around midnight June 13 to find two teens inside her home.
The 44-year old says she awoke to her dog barking at the home she shares with her 18-year old son on East Chestnut Avenue.
When she checked around the house, she says she found two males in their late teens inside. One of them pointed a handgun at her and struck her in the face, demanding to see her son. The pair rummaged through different areas but apparently left empty-handed.
The armed individual is described as a black male, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 130 pounds. He has a medium complexion and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
The second intruder is also described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He was carrying a duffel bag and had a burgundy bandana covering a portion of his face.
A witness also reported seeing a white car in the area at the time.
Anyone with information on the home invasion is asked to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-689-5705 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS, emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com, or Text “Tip 214 plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).
