BAKER — Baker School's Lady Gators cross country team placed first in a 1A District meet on Oct. 28 at Sims Middle School, hosted by Jay High School.
Maya Espinosa (10th grade) placed first overall with a time of 21.04, Gabi Espinosa (eighth) placed second with a time of 21.44. Eliana Butler (seventh) placed eighth, Julia Knight (seventh) placed 10th, Karley Bishop (sixth) placed 18th, Allison Morse (10th) placed 24th and Maci Bussanmus (eighth) placed 33rd overall. These seven ladies will represent Baker School in the Regional CC meet Nov. 4 at Lake City.
Greg Chaitha (10th) placed ninth overall for the boys with a time of 19.21. He will also be running at the regional meet.
