North Okaloosa students recognized

CRESTVIEW — Here are highlights involving area students:

Several residents have achieved honors status at Troy University in Alabama for the fall semester and Term 2 of the 2018/2019 academic year.

•Local provost's list students are Parker Allen of Laurel Hill; Taylor Brunson of Baker; and Jacob Hensley, Haley Parnell, and Bruce Smith, all of Crestview. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 qualify for the provost's list.

Local chancellor's list students are Micah Brannon of Holt; Ariana Fulton, Michael Anderson and Lexus Ivy, all of Crestview.

•A Laurel Hill resident, Daniela Feldhausen, has graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She majored in emergency medicine and graduated Dec. 15 with a Doctor of Science degree in in Physician Assistant Studies.

•Crestview resident Sydney Diven is among the Fall 2018 dean's list honorees at Valdosta State University in Georgia. To qualify, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours, with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher.

•Crestview resident Caleb Overton, a senior music major, is among more than 1,200 Harding University students included on the dean's list for grades achieved during the fall 2018 semester. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes. The university's location is Searcy, Arkansas.
