SHALIMAR — A Panama City man who has an active domestic violence injunction against him is now charged with aggravated stalking.
The Crestview victim says she heard someone at her door, then spotted her ex-boyfriend, 30-year-old Michael Joseph Rodriguez, inside of her car at her home around 6 p.m. Sunday. She already has an injunction against Rodriguez that was served on May 16th and went to a neighbor’s house for help.
"Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies learned that while the victim was out of the country, Rodriguez had changed the locks on her residence so he could gain access to the home. When they found him a short distance from her house, he had a working key to those locks. A witness also said she saw him try to get into the victim’s home before he got in her car," according to an OCSO media release.
Rodriguez is now charged with aggravated stalking, violating a domestic violence injunction, burglary to an unoccupied dwelling and burglary to an unoccupied conveyance.
