CRESTVIEW — Here are highlights involving area students: 

UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA

A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the dean's list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's).

Students named to the list include: 

  • Erica Kaylee Evers of Baker — president's list
  • Hannah E. Hubbard of Baker — president's list
  • Michelle Leanna Best of Crestview — dean's list
  • Foster P. Lux of Crestview — president's list

The UA dean's and president's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load. 

WILLIAM CAREY UNIVERSITY 

William Carey University has announced the president’s and dean’s list scholars for the spring trimester.

  • Laura Liberty Elaine Sites, President's List, is among area students earning recognition.

President’s List Scholars have a perfect 4.0 grade point average and Dean’s List Scholars must have at least a 3.5 grade point average.

OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY

Oregon State University has announced names of students who have made the spring-term scholastic honor roll.

1,245 students earned straight A grade point averages (4.0). Another 4,086 earned a B-plus GPAs (3.5) or better to make the listing.

Students on the honor roll included:

  • Lacy L. Fallon, of Crestview, sophomore with a B-plus in Agricultural Sciences.

To be on the honor roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work.

UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE 

The University of Dubuque celebrated the accomplishments of its undergraduate, graduate and seminary students at its 165th Commencement ceremonies on May 13.

Crestview honorees include:

  • Alicia Berrios, bachelor of science
  • Jessie Ecklund, bachelor of science, cum laude
