Bank gives North Okaloosa schools $6,000 in educational grants

CRESTVIEW — On Wednesday, May 24, local Hancock Bank officials presented educational grants to North Okaloosa County schools.

Schools receiving the one-time $500 Hancock Bank grants include Antioch Elementary School, Baker School, Bob Sikes Elementary School, Crestview High School, Davidson Middle School, Lance C. Richbourg School, Laurel Hill School, Northwood Elementary School, Riverside Elementary School, Shoal River Middle School, Southside Primary School and Walker Elementary School.

"Hancock Bank has worked together with local communities to create opportunities for more than a century,” said Market President Bruce Vredenburg. “We are honored to be part of the Crestview community and look forward to serving the people and businesses dedicated to sustaining the quality of life that makes this hometown special.”

 “We are grateful to Hancock Bank for investing not only in our community but (also) in our students,” said Superintendent of Okaloosa County Schools Mary Beth Jackson. “These resources will help us build a solid educational foundation to prepare our next generation to succeed.”
